Gift It Forward

Posted by Adryanna Sutherland on

January often arrives with mixed emotions.

There is hope in a new beginning, but also a sense of tiredness many of us carry into the year. Life feels full. Schedules are busy. Responsibilities are heavy. And sometimes, it’s hard to find a moment that feels like your own.

That’s where creativity has always lived for many of us.

Not as a solution to everything, but as a place to pause. A place to breathe. A place where your hands can be busy while your mind rests. Mixing colors. Pouring slowly. Watching something take shape in its own time.

Art gives us permission to be present without needing to explain ourselves.

Over the years, we’ve seen how creativity becomes part of people’s daily rhythm. Some create to celebrate. Some create to process. Some create simply because it brings a little calm into an otherwise full day.

There is no right reason.

There is no wrong season.

What matters is the act of making and the way it quietly restores us.

As we move through this year, we’re choosing to lean into what has always mattered most to us: kindness, creativity, and looking out for one another in small but meaningful ways.

Sometimes, that starts with something as simple as making art.

One of the most meaningful parts of this journey for me has been getting to know our customers. The people who create with us.

We recognize names when orders come through. We smile when photos of finished pieces land in our inbox. We listen when you tell us what tools you wish you had, or what would make creating easier or more enjoyable.

This community has always been built on care.

And lately, we’ve been thinking a lot about how people show up for one another. Not in big, dramatic ways, but in quiet ones. A thoughtful message. A shared idea. A small gesture that says, I see you.

That’s why we’re starting something new.

Each month, we will gift Jumbo Silicone Craft Mats to 10 people who could use a little extra support, encouragement, or joy. These mats can be gifted to yourself or to someone else. A friend, a parent, a grandparent, a neighbor, a fellow artist.

If you’d like to nominate someone, all we ask is that you tell us why they deserve a craft mat, and that you’re comfortable with us sharing their story anonymously. No names. No identifying details. Just real moments of care and connection.

Because stories like these matter.

They remind us that creativity is often shared. That kindness multiplies. That looking out for one another is one of the most powerful things we can do, especially when life feels demanding or uncertain.

Art doesn’t just create beautiful things.

It creates beautiful connections.

And sometimes, the simplest tools can open the door to something much bigger.

If you’d like to participate, email me at adryanna@lolivefe to submit a story.

We can’t wait to read them and to pass a little goodness along.
