Rainbow or retro - you decide, but either way these molds are fun for everyone! They make the perfect insert for bowls, trays, platters and more. Or make bookends, desk decorations or wall hangings!
If you pour them relatively thin, you can separate the rainbow rows and make smaller shapes. You can also cut them down to make them shorter if the resin hasn't fully cured and they are poured just deep enough that they don't come apart.
These molds come in two sizes:
- The WIDE mold measures 5.9" across x 6.1" tall
- The NARROW mold measures 3" across x 5.4" tall
These molds are:
- Flexible, soft and reusable
- BPA free
- Heat resistant: -40 to +446 degrees Fahrenheit, (-40 to +230 degrees Celsius)
- Non-stick for easy release
Tips (always follow instructions for the resin you are using - these are meant as general guidelines):
-
Always pour your resin into the hardener (pour hardener into the mixing container first, then resin).
-
Stir resin with a plastic or silicone stirring stick to reduce air bubbles. Wood is not recommended as it can create air bubbles.
-
Let resin sit a few minutes after stirring to reduce air bubbles.
-
Don’t use a torch or heat gun as it could damage the molds and make it difficult to de-mould, causing them to tear - this is especially true near the edges.
-
Wash mold as needed in warm soapy water.
- For molds with decorative designs, a thinner viscosity resin will help reduce bubbles in the details.
